Hayley Kidd, 27, from Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, was in the midst of a kitchen revamp when she left her children Bonnie, 4, and Harry, 1, enjoying outdoors within the backyard.

“I can’t describe how quickly it happened. It was less than five minutes. I came down and I was faced with that.”

Realising what had occurred, Hayley mentioned: “I had no words, there was a moment of pause and silence while I took it in.”

She added: “Bonnie asked if I was mad and I just said I wasn’t happy with them but it’s done now.”

The nursery instructor rushed the children upstairs for a bathe earlier than utilizing cereal packing containers to scrape the paint away, which she spent 12 hours making an attempt to take away.
