3 soldiers martyred in N. Waziristan during gun battle with terrorists from Afghanistan: ISPR – World

Three troopers have been martyred within the Dewagar space of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s North Waziristan district throughout an change of fireside with terrorists from throughout the Afghan border, the army’s media affairs wing stated on Saturday.

“Pakistan strongly condemns the use of Afghan soil by terrorists for activities against Pakistan and expects that [the] Afghan government will not allow conduct of such activities in [the] future,” the ISPR stated, including that the Pakistan Army “is determined to defend Pakistan’s borders against the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave men further strengthen our resolve”.

Earlier on April 14, eight troopers have been martyred in two terrorist assaults in North Waziristan.

In one incident, seven troopers have been martyred when terrorists had ambushed a automobile of safety forces in Datakhel tehsil of the North Waziristan district by terrorists working from Afghanistan, based on the Foreign Office.

Separately, one other soldier was martyred throughout a conflict between safety forces and terrorists within the district’s Isham space.
